Hirewriters — Online content marketplace

This is a freelance marketplace, matching people who want to write articles remotely with those, who need their website content or any other texts to be created. The system, written in PHP, consists of a server side, an administrative panel and a website.

After checking the writers’ IPs and additionally defining the IPs’ proxy score (using MaxMind API), only authors from Australia, US, Canada, UK, Singapore and New Zealand are admitted to registration, since it’s supposed, that they are native English speakers. The prescreening process is not over there: the applicant has to pass grammar test and write an essay, which is then checked manually.

Ones the user’s profile is created within the system, an administrative panel allows to make notes on every user, which will be shown above his profile, e.g. to check the user one more time, or to ask him something. Integration with Copyscape API allows to examine the texts, authors write, on plagiarism, while the results are stored and shown to the administrator within the author’s profile as well.

The website has two UIs — for employers and for employees. A writer can register, login, apply to the projects, leave feedbacks to employers and receive money. A client can create projects, manage them, refill balance (the site is integrated with PayPal), comment on writers, and request changes in received articles.

Besides, there are many specific features, helping to make the system one of the most convenient online marketplaces: partnership programs, drafts autosave, mutual cancellation procedure, a possibility to answer to the internal massages right from the user’s e-mail, keyword & industry-based search, a blog on WordPress and many more.
