SaaS POS solution for restaurants — Web and iOS apps symbiosis

This POS solution for restaurants consists of two parts: a web app and an application for iPhone.

The web application is intended for merchants, actually being an administrative panel, which allows to manage products, services, orders, reservations, customers and community, and undertake marketing activities.

A merchant could add categories and products, setting their titles, prices, dates they were created, and also edit, clone or delete the created items. The app allows as well to control and update all necessary data on the orders: if it is waiting for completion, ready, declined or already picked up. Also the confirmation code, price, name of the user who has made the order, and delivery time are displayed.

Besides, via this web interface a merchant could compose a message to a particular customer or to all, if needed, e.g. announcing special offers and events. Once some marketing activity was conducted, restaurant managers could use reporting tools — to get the insights on the activity’s results or to generally track sales statistics on a regular basis.

Thus, while the merchant accepts and tracks orders, edits menu, checks sales, modifies descriptions and business information via the web app, clients use an application for iPhone to make orders.

Using the app they could choose a venue, browse through menus and make an order. The iOS app also allows users to manage their profiles, interact with others within the app’s community, leave feedbacks, explore reviews written by other users, write and receive messages from venues, and store recipes on all the orders made via the app.

The application is also intended to be utilized by a delivery men, as an iCard reader could be plugged in in order to accept payments via a credit/debit card at the moment of delivery. All the data would be relayed to the system and be accessible via the administrative panel.
