Matisseo — A Dynamic and Comprehensive Web-to-Print Solution

Matisseo exemplifies a richly-featured web-to-print system that adeptly supports business growth and addresses various challenges through innovative software solutions. Initially, the client approached us with an existing website and desktop editing software, which together facilitated the creation, ordering, and purchasing of photobooks.

In the first phase of development, Sibers introduced an album-sharing feature. This enhancement allowed users to preview their created books on the website and share them both internally within the system and externally via email. Subsequently, we integrated several marketing tools, including new album ordering options like soft and rigid covers, a system for calculating these options, and a loyalty program featuring internal currency, prepaid cards, and vouchers.

The third phase marked a significant advancement with the development of the core and most complex frontend component: an online tool for creating and editing photobooks. This development was pivotal as it extended accessibility to Mac users, thereby broadening the user base significantly—important because many of Matisseo’s potential customers, such as photographers and designers, often prefer Mac systems.

On the backend, development efforts focused on streamlining operations, resulting in a fourfold reduction in manual processing time for business operators. The backend system encompasses album processing, PDF creation, efficient paper use through PDF imposition, order information generation, integration with printing machinery, and order status tracking.
