Emerald City Embroidery — OMS for Award-Winning Embroidery Shop

Challenge: Embroidery shop, employing an award winning digitizing team, needed a convenient enterprise solution for order processing and communication between customers and decorators.

Solution: We developed an extensive web application which connects an apparel e-shop, online print and embroidery design editor and the admin panel for order management. The online shop and the admin panel were done by us from scratch.

In the core of the app there is a custom-built order management system which creates and manages the orders and their status, automates shipping and billing processes, generates delivery labels and places them on packages.  So, since the moment a package is shipped out, both sides, shop’s staff and their customers, can keep tabs on where the package is. Scheduled ship date, expected in hands date, and approval status are specified for every order. Once created, the order could be duplicated, as our client’s regular customers frequently order the same embroideries.

CRM system provides the statistics information about staff and customers, allows to specify the access level depending on the user’s role in the system (customer or buyer).

The payment terms include Net30, prepay, half prepay, payment upon delivery by card or in cash. Integrated Quickbooks API allows connection of the system to the accounting system used in the company.

A reports module, accessible only to the staff, allows to generate reports on, e.g., the amount of sales to each customer, top-10 customers, how many days are left to the deadline, the number of orders, processed by each manager, and several other metrics, therefore allowing to always have a finger on a pulse of all the processes.

The project is alive and active, we still continue to maintain the work of the app, which is a great pleasure for us.
