ColorPic — Mobile App for Virtual Wall Painting

Our client has a color-selling business and needed a mobile app to help customers choose the perfect wall color without leaving home. We developed ColorPic — an iOS and Android application that lets users upload a photo of their wall and instantly try out thousands of paint colors.

The workflow is simple and intuitive: a user takes or uploads a room photo, selects a color palette, and taps on the wall (or other objects) to see it repainted in real time. This eliminates guesswork and the need for physical swatches, helping customers make confident buying decisions.

The initial task was to rebuild and optimize an existing app created by another developer. We improved performance, refined the coloring algorithm, and added an admin panel for content management. In the admin panel, administrators can adjust color palettes, manage app content, and even generate platform-ready builds (.zip packages) for iOS and Android. This allows for rapid customization and deployment of branded apps for different paint retailers.
