NewsFlash Mobile — Share video news reports

NewsFlash is a web and mobile system for recording and sharing immediate news reports from around the world.

With the NewsFlash iOS application registered users can record short 120 second videos and submit them to the system. The program will compress the video and add a watermark to it.

Watermarks contain the following information:

• The title of the video;
• The author of the video (username);
• Time and date the video was taken;
• The geographic location of the place the video was taken (coordinates or the name of the nearest city);
• #tags — that can be searched as a trending topic on Twitter or on the Newsflash website.

Before the video is rendered for uploading to the site, the user is asked to choose a “private/public” status for the video. Sharing through social networking sites is implemented as well. The app also features a location-based ads.

The application was not released due to customer’s changed business plans, though the developed system is full-featured and ready-to-use.
