Popcorn — Make perfect popcorn with your microwave

The Popcorn Timer is an iPhone app for making perfect microwave popcorn. With this app the process becomes extremely easy, simply put the popcorn into a microwave oven, press the Start button on the oven and in the app, and put your iPhone on top of the oven.

The app will then determine the right time to turn off the oven. It does this by listening to the popping sounds — when the poppings becomes frequent enough and the intervals between the pops are suitable, the alarm will let you know that it is time to turn off the microwave oven. The result is perfect popcorn that is never burned or left un‐popped.

Sibers developed the fully‐functional prototype of this application so that our customer would be able to present it in front of investors.
